This is an update from the "Overcoming confo" thread. I have some photos posted on my blog of our first show ... but i'll admit I'm really
self conscious. I've been without a trainer for 8 months due to a lack of good trainers in the area and I have a lot of issues I need to work out on
myself. Buttercup is a good little girl, but it's me that is mostly the problem with everything, haha.
http://streetfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/meet-streets-part-two.html This was from about a month ago. Believe it or not, she has gained more weight since
then too. Maybe time to take her off the Ultra Bloom? I took some photos this morning on my phone, but I can't upload them tonight ... just showing some of
her muscling. That's my blog. You'll notice she's a bit beefier (not by too much). Also, I've never owned a palomino before ... now I
understand why you don't clip a palomino in winter time ... that's why she's grey and white. Ummm ... leg position over the fence is being worked
on. And, she is too close to the base of the jump ... But, the good news is that we are getting an awesome trainer starting in May. I'm so excited! Plus,
this trainer does APHA and AQHA big shows from what I've heard. I hope she can fix me. Never got an answer on what is a "belly up" and how to do
it ... also, Apples, I can get her to bend and do the squares at a walk (hind end and front end) but I don't know how to achieve the shoulder in. Is that
similar to counter bending? I can probably wait until I get my new trainer. Oh, and here is Buttercup on YouTube: 1. Dressage lesson: (we've gotten a lot
better since then, I promise .. now she picks up leads on cue with just a little inside leg) 2. Backing fun:
