What do you feed your horses as treats? Other than carrots, apples, peppermints, sugar cubes, and the store-bought kind, I mean.
So far, I've found that my mare likes animal crackers, pretzels, oreos (I didn't feed her these... someone else did), peppermint leaves, and watermelon (both the rinds and the fruit). Someone I know feeds her horse corn husks, but my mother says that'll make them sick, but doesn't have any reasoning behind that idea.
I also bake her homemade cookies from molasses, oats, apples, and some other stuff I'm forgetting about.
I've also met horses that will eat burgers, fries, coke, and all sorts of other junk food... but I'd never feed that to my horse.
