The more I look at De Renzo, the more I like him... I'd have to see him move of course, but I'd be interested to see how he'd cross on pleasure mares. Don't flame. Haha.. I won't do it.. I'd just be interested to see.

forthefutureofthebreed wrote: Pooky, guess you didn't read the other thread about De Renzo. People keep starting up new threads that are like ones already on the board...it gets confusing. You all have these strong opinions, yet you don't know about the breed or industry. I'm not saying anyone is stupid. But you should ask questions instead of spouting off a bunch of garbage that isn't true. "Was he collected as a yearling?" would have been appropriate.
well you should have just corrected me instead of blowing up..no I didn't catch up on the other De Renzo threads...the last time I did I only heard just about everybody who looked at the ads saying he was...

Again, the horse is representative of a cross by people venturing outside of the box. Nothing wrong with that, and if the horse doesn't suit your needs, it's no big deal. He's a step in the right direction, being from a typical halter horse mare, and sired by a Breeders Cup-winning, high class TB stallion. Nothing wrong with that at all.
How can you judge a yearling??? I think it would be wise to see what he looks like as a mature horse before making any assumptions.

GotCow.. this COULD have remained an educated thread.. good job turning it into a "mi disssicpline iz beter than urz." one.. And most cow horses I've seen have mutton-withers that are comparable to halter horses. That's all I've got to say.. Continue the educated discussion, please?
