I'd actually be interested to see him moving. So many of the halter stallions seem to me like they'd lack elasticity. This guy does seem like he'd be able to lengthen and collect to some degree. Also, did they angle him in the profile picture to make him look like he has a tiny little neck? If they did, they weren't doing him any favors, IMO.

Hey Creti...I mean GotCow. Not going there again. If you missed the point on ALL the threads on the benefits of TBs as outcrosses, any explanation now will go right over your head.

"How can you judge a yearling??? I think it would be wise to see what he looks like as a mature horse before making any assumptions."

Mr. Conclusion, of COURSE he's an amazing horse, his show record is ALSO more impressive then De Renzos'
#1 Leading AQHA Sire of World Champion halter horses. 1986 AQHA World Champion Aged Stallion 1985 AQHA Reserve World Champion 3YO Stallion 1983 Top Ten World Show Yearling Stallion Quarter Horse Congress ROM Halter.
OH! and he's N/H
but that is not even the point.
you are comparing an AGED stallion to a yearling. now, how fair is that to either horse?
now, I think alot of peoples eyes are being tricked by these horses legs, as, De Renzo is to pinched in how they have him squared, and Mr Conclusion is a little behind himself in his pictures, giving his legs a more relaxed look.
if you draw lines, Mr Conclusion is indeed straighter in the stifle hock and pasterns then De Renzo, which is a major flaw in todays Halter Horses.
De Renzo is much shorter in the back, and STRONGER as well. Mr Conclusion has withers because with age, he has a weaker topline, which will sooner or later happen to De Renzo.
here is a small .gif for you, and it actually shows how similar they are, even in the shoulder. if it doesnt work, click HERE im not trying to make you LIKE de renzo, just debating

forthefutureofthebreed wrote: No, they're not collecting a yearling! He was World Champion Yearling Stallion at the Nov 2007 AQHA World Show, and they started advertising him toward the end of last year for the 2008 breeding season. They're probably just now collecting him (at 2, which I'm not too cool on).
From his breeding info page I linked to on page 2 of the topline thread:
"His VERY FIRST collection was easy and yielded OUTSTANDING results for a show yearling!!"
and here's the link again, in case you missed it on the other thread.

We were confident that his outcross TB libido and his generous testicular size would generate great business for 2008... and we were RIGHT!! His VERY FIRST collection was easy and yielded OUTSTANDING results for a show yearling!!

he is the first step in the righ direction IMO because he is out of a WC producing mare, that was bred to a top TB, in which produced an appendix N/N colt but he is more then that, the people took a risk, taking a nice mare and breeding her to a TB, which there has not been any recent halter horses who have done acceptionally well in the halter pen (non that I AM aware of) they took this horse, who is a conformationally correct horse, compared to what is winning. our family friend saw him win the world and she said that he was an absolute cut above the rest, that he did not have nearly enough "stuff" as the others, that placed behind him, but he had what should be winning, a tight top line, long legs that arent posty hocked (especially like so many of them out there today) a long neck and a great shoulder. he opens this door, that it is OK to have a horse (especially at such a young age) not be dripping with muscle.
