I got a call from a prospective new client and I took my daughter with me to this person's place for a lesson. She traded a TWH for an eleven year old
QH gelding that has been shown at a ton of local stuff and done well. The gelding was a doll, a total cute packer. The owner then wanted to show me her other
horses, she proudly pointed to a blue roan and said that this was her baby. She then went on to tell me that she just got back from being bred and that she
rides like a dream. It was the usual "she has Hancock lines" blah blah. Said filly turned around and we got an eyeful of her roman nose and tiny pig
eyes, that was about the same time that the owner said "oh yea, she's going to be two in a month or so!" I tried to keep a blank look on my face
but my fourteen year old daughter actually choked! She stood behind me coughing, it was priceless!
The people are so nice but you can tell that they are new, hopefully we can take them under our wing and steer them in the right direction. She seemed
surprised at a few of the things we went over during the lesson, her horse was a trooper. Keep your fingers crossed for us. ![]()
