Just curious about this.
I'm planning on doing some Hunter/Jumper with my guy.
He's a 4 year old 16H Fjord x TB gelding.
My coach jumped up on him today and did some w/t/c schooling and was shocked at how smooth his gaits were and was adament about doing dressage with him. So then I started thinking about eventing, and then created this topic.
Based on his conformation - what discipline would he be best suited for?
I couldn't get any butt shots because there wasn't anyone to hold him and everytime I was close to getting a good picture, he'd walk off.
The faults I'll point out right away, is that he seems to be turned out a little on his right front, and he seriously toes out in the back but does not hit/touch/catch himself at all.
You're more than welcome to critique his conformation - go right ahead! But please leave explanations to your thoughts as well.
I'll post movement and undersaddle shots if they're needed, but I'd like an assessment based on conformation.
What are some glaring faults he has as well?
