Did he not worm? It looks (to my untrained eye) like he lost a ton of muscle in his neck and chest. I'm not bashing, I'm just surprised a trainer would send him back looking worse, not better. Well I'm not surprised, I guess... I know I dont talk about Oliver very much, because of the situation and some of the choices I made. I saw him going down hill and there was nothing I could do. However he is back with us because the gal who was training him lost her farm to forclosure, I basically gave Oliver to her in march/early april. I DID NOT KNOW about her financial issues. We got him back in June. Needless to say during that time his care was not the best as I was no longer providing his grain, hay and suppliments. I dont know everything that happened after April 1, except that she tried to sell him, lease him and give him away. I know that she basically stopped handling him and let him be used by a lot of people. I do know that he was taken out on a trail ride and dumped his rider when they came upon some sheep, and that he spend 5 days tied to a "learning pole" to teach him a lesson. When I went to pick him up he had on 2 halters and 5 leadlines in a small dry lot because he was hard to catch. He has always and still does meet me at the gate. ( He was not at the trainers place when I went to pick him up, he had been moved to her "friends" place. Here is a picture of him when I went to get him: I do not wish to get into the right or wrong over what happened to Oliver. My husband and I went to great pains to make sure we can keep him forever. He will never again be for sale. He will never again leave our property to go "train" with someone else. I have learned so many lessons at this horses expense and I owe him a life time of happiness and food. I admit my mistakes with him. If there ever comes a time that I can not longer keep him I will put him down he will never leave my care again! I think by my posting these pictures and KNOWING in advance the reaction they will get, proves my williness to to face the bad choices that were made and move forward to correct them.

Thanks Puff.. I don't mind sharing it reminds me to be smarter.
We are trying to find him a job. We do know for sure he will be successful at making the dung pile higher and the feed pile lower. Its rather sad because he is actually very well trained, just squirrely as hell. I am by no means offened or upset by this thread.. Im actually very calm. Strange.
