Hi! I'm new to this forum, although I'm a longtime devoted reader of the Fugly blog. Not sure if this is an appropriate question, but I am wondering
about solar fencers. I've never used one, and I'm thinking about it now that my current fencer is on its death bed and will need to be replaced very
soon. I have under 3 miles of fence (not sure if this applies to the strength or not) and I live in upstate NY (also don't know if location has an impact
on the effectiveness of this device).
Do they work? Do they deliver a consistent current? How does it work if it clouds up/rains for a few days?
My gelding is a Houdini of sorts and does not respect a cold fence, so it is important the wire is HOT at all times. Kind of like the T-Rex in Jurassic park...always testing the weak areas of the enclosure...same idea.
