Anyone ever delt with this?
Man when it rains, it pours. I can't seem to catch a break with vet issues. I went out to ride tonight, and was told my horse had been colic like all day,
but was still looking sick. So we decided to get the vet out to be sure since she had only passed a few small turds all day and was just not acting her self,
she was coming right up when called and just looking downright depressed and laying down a lot.
Vet thinks it is Potomoc Fever. I have no idea about this disease at all. After reading up it does indeed fit all of the symptoms they say it causes....and she
does live right next to a large pond....Not sure how serious she is, she was on fire though at a temp of 104. Luckily it is supposed to be really cool all
night.
I'm wondering how much the cost of all of this will be? Sounds like if it IS Potomac Fever, she will need three days of IV drips of some medicine or other,
and he will do it on site for us. I get paid on friday thank god.....
Send good vibes to my Penny please!
