Hello all!
First a short intro: My name is Christel, I was born on a dairy farm in SE Wisconsin. My parents also bred Arabians, mostly Crabbet and CMK, for disposition as well as good working conformation. They stopped breeding when the market tanked in the 80's, kept the remaining mares and the stallion because they were family. Ibn, the stallion, was my dad's best friend. Dad would take him on trail rides, and he was such a gentleman. Dad was heartbroken when he finally decided to put him down a few of years ago, at age 31.
I moved to a 40 acre farm in Central Wisconsin in 2000, put up fence and moved the last of the herd here. Currently the oldest is Jul at 35, followed by her son Gem at 30 (he injured his shoulder at a young age, so we never sold him), her daughter Sparky at 27, Jul's half sister Emmy at 22, and Tassle (no relation) is 30. My favorite mare Tiara passed away a couple of years ago, and that leads to the request part of the topic. I've posted this on the A Black Horse forum, where I lurk. It was suggested that I go to the Florida horse forum, but for some reason I'm having problems signing up. I love the FHOTD blog, and recently discovered the forum, so I thought I'd try here. Here's what I posted on ABH:

They were last known to be in Florida, in the Jacksonville area, in 1985. I just want to know they're okay and in good health.
I contacted Chazwar's last owner of record, to whom we sent mares for breeding and who now live in Dade City, FL. His wife said that Elbay was sent home with his dam (he wasn't, her last foal Diademetrius was) and she didn't mention Chazwar. I sent another letter, and never heard from her again.
I'm hoping that the boys found good homes, either through sale or through a rescue, though their papers probably have not have followed them (Elbay is still listed in my parents name, and Chazwar in the breeders name and old address). Both should have wonderful pocket pony type dispositions, based on their dam and her other foals. Chazwar has a freeze brand recorded with AHA. I can list their markings, and may be able to find baby pics.
Here's the Net Posse report that I posted a couple of years ago (note: they're not stolen, just missing. I'll have to get that corrected soon.): http://www.netposse.com/stolenmissing/miss...ElbayFL1983.htm
I would love to go down myself to look for them, and stop in SC to visit Tiara's first foal (a lovely chestnut mare named Fadllah), but money and time won't allow it (unless someone wants to hire me for a photo session!)
I'm also looking for any horses bred by my parents: Elizabeth and Walter Noble, farm name Diadem Arabians (Ibn Fadl Bah, Woodlands Diamond, and/or Bahara Baha in the pedigrees) I've searched Datasource for last known owners and addresses, did some mailings, and got 0 answers. *sigh*
Thanks for any help!
