Very sweet boy, needs a family of his own.
This is what he looked like when we got him in Feb:
When this furball came to us, we gave him a new name... "Yeti" was rescued on 2/1/09, from a dire situation. He is 2 years old, and has a very easy
going personality. He's going to top out around 14hh, and about 800# (has more growing to do)... After researching Yeti's past, we found out his front
right leg is turned out from an injury when his dam stepped on him right after birth. He bares full weight, gets around well, and doesn't seem to have any
major issues with his movement. Just playing in the pen, he has lovely sliding stops and spins and picks up both leads fine, proving his coordination. He
should be sound for pleasure riding when he is started. Until his adoption, he will be handled by size appropriate 4-H kids in our training program. Trimming
and worming up to date, Gelded, 5way&WN (2/5/09), WN booster (6/25/09). Yeti has had no trouble loading in the trailer, ties well, was easy to worm and
vaccinate. He respects electric fencing (as long as it's on), and he has done great with going inside buildings, stalling, blanketing, bathing and
clipping. We took him to our county fair and he was in halter/showmanship classes. He sat calmly during the mounted shooting demo, and did great around all the
rides/speakers/lights. He has done well around children, dogs, cats and chickens. He gets along with our other horses/ponies of all ages, but tends to be at
the bottom of the pecking order. His dam was primarily of Thoroughbred lines, and his sire was a buckskin of unknown breeding. In his previous home he had some
loung work, along with being saddled and lots of time with children messing around with him. In Yeti's training there must be fokus on motivation, as he
tends to be a little bit lazy. He is an in-your-pocket pony, that will follow you anywhere (super easy to catch). Yeti's adoption fee is $300 to help cover
his expenses of castration, farrier, feed, worming, vacc. ect. Delivery may be available for traveling expenses depending on location. Discount to 4-H program
family.
