We went on a trail ride today to the 99' waterfall above my folks' house. Several Mounted Band folks, my mom, my daughter, and I went. No incidents
except a funny one at the beginning of the ride where Ryan's mule tripped just a Ryan turned to look behind and they fell over right in the middle of the
road. Never seen that happen before. It was pretty funny, since neither of them was hurt.
Mom rode Tucker, my son's horse, who can be an idiot. He pranced a bit, but nothing much. Chunk, my daughter's horse, and Buddy, my new horse, were just perfect.
We rode from the house, but everyone else trailered up.

A rest stop. Mom in the red hat. Jessi in helmet.
Looking back
Stopping to find our way through the deadfall maze.
We couldn't get all the way to the falls with horses. This is about 200 yds. down the canyon. We rode to a point on the edge of the cliff.
and stopped to admire the view. The horses were glad for the rest.
to the right
Down. Yes, those are full grown trees down there.
The bear across the canyon.
We then went to a friend's cabin and had a barbecue. Tomorrow we have a parade.
