So I won't bore you all with the sordid details (if you want them you can read Tango's blog I've started which is in my siggy below). AND YES THERE
ARE PICS! (albeit not very good ones... I had to take them by myself with my phone LOL!)
To recap in short, Lindsey really likes Tango and thinks he should be able to go through 2nd Level in dressage. She says he has a natural mind and trainability for the sport but lacks slightly in the movement department. She thinks he is super cute though and that we will do well in the lower levels--which is fine for me.
She says his canter is "definately above average...probably an 8 if I had to rate it" and that his natural walk is really nice and swinging as well. She said his trot is just average which is not unusual for the arab and half arabs--due to their shoulder angles and ability to follow through behind. He would probably be a 6 in the trot department, but that a 6 is definately sufficient for the lower levels so long as we do our movements correctly.
I of course need to really learn some dressage basics (see post Dressage People...lol) such as what they are asking for in the tests, touch points, circle sizes and the general layout of the dressage arena. I am doing my homework though! I am determined to give Tango the best chance possible to succeed! Anyways...these pics are on my blog entry about my lesson, but I will post them here too:)
Sorry for the blurry cell pic...but look Tango and I are dressed for dressage!
