I had another 1/2 hour session with Grand Prix dressage rider Barbara Perkins! The last time I rode with her was in the end of August and I had just started
working with Zoe (my 3rd ride on her, to be exact). Barbara was really pleased with our progress! I need to be more firm with Zoe and be more consistent with
my contact as well as looser in my hips and lower back- as you can tell in the pics, I start grabbing with my knee and thigh and this draws my leg up rather
than wrapping them around the horse. I'm super excited that Barbara thinks I am doing a great job, and also excited because she has invited me down the
Cape to have a lesson on her Grand Prix horse!!! He's 22 or 23 now, but still going strong and I am wicked psyched to have such an opportunity!!
Anyhow, here are some pics!
Zoe looking Beeee-yoootiuful!
A nice headshot- she was staring at some horses that shipped in for the clinic...and she was trying to eat the barn owner's plants- hence the bit being too far out on this side...
I am making the same stupid face in every shot...it was sunny and apparantly I don't care for that...But we had some really nice moments at the trot (even if my leg is still an issue
)

We were either trotting into or down from the canter here...
We had some of the best cantering to date in this clinic- she has a big stride! We were much more balanced. I have to remember how that feel and keep working at it!

Totally riding off my toe, but I think I am getting better! Critiques and advice are welcome!
