With some loving from the saddle fitter and some leather conditioner, it's in great shape now! I feel like a got a great deal! hehe! Old Kieffers around 300 bucks are the best!!! I talked them down from $395 to $325, but had to pay shipping! What model is yours? Poor Zoe- our other saddle is an ancient Crosby PDN that I got for $150 on eBay! It's a great saddle, though. I ought to buy stock in Leather Renew, though!

And then it was only like $75 extra to get it fitted She even fitted my collegiate diploma for that $75, so Bud does have a new jumping saddle. Mine originally came in brown and is still brown: Best part besides it fitting my horse AND me? It came with short billets and in the same color as my other saddle! So I didn't need a new girth! lol We need to start another club ... the Vintage Kieffer Dressage Saddle Club! (or to be more inclusive: The Vintage Saddle Club)

You can't have temperament on horses. When something doesn't go well, you quickly get upset... that's not for horses, that's for husbands. ~ George Morris Survivor of the Great Kitty Massacre '08

Yeah vintage saddle owners!!! (maybe we should put that as a qualification to the most inclusive clique? Like "who also own vintage saddles or like to look at vintage saddles")
