I have a Canon Powershot A550 and I take hundreds and hundreds of pictures with this camera, both of my horses and of cars for my parents' business for
insurance purposes. I have had it forever, and its been the handiest little camera I've ever owned, I take the most wonderful daylight photos with it.
I have always had problems trying to take pictures in the dark with this camera - there are settings for night shots but they ALWAYS come out blurry. They'll instantly use the flash and it takes a long time for it to go off and by then my subject has usually ran away
You can manually change the
shutter/iso speed and everything on this camera, any ideas for settings at night?
I want to take pictures of roping, but its at night and my camera blows... I need help! I can't afford a new camera right now, so am I out of luck?
Example of roping last time I went:
