I absolutely hate temper tantrums. I don't mean when a horse is acting up out of pain/frustration/confusion...those I can understand. Charlie (my horse) has a habit of acting up when he thinks work should be done. He's not in pain and he's not confused....when I'm asking for a simple roll-back and he decides to get pissy with me...ugh.
Rearing is also one of my pet peeves. When Charlie throws one his his forementioned temper tantrums, he'll rear up and hop forward and buck to try and unseat me. It used to throw me off balance and I'd occasionally tumble off, but now I can sit it like a pro and we have a come-to-Jesus meeting and he gets to work more.
Not standing while mounting is definitely annoying.. Charlie does that too.
Agh...I have a bad horse!
