How about thinking about the fact that ALL of those things could happen at a boarding barn - but no one will care about your horses' health and well-being as much as you do. You'll get more comfortable with it. And, for the record, horses are MUCH, MUCH easier than human babies (or children, for that matter!).

I agree! It's part of the reason why I fell in love with Arabs. I have a good friend that has WB's and I know she loves them and treats them great but she doesn't seem to have that same type of connection. Unless you've owned an Arab (not just ridden them) you have no idea what I'm talking about.
