Anyone interested? I think this person is doing the right thing; BUT, if she feels that maybe euthanasia is the answer, why doesn't she do it.

Will take more pictures upon request.
We brought this colt home from a local auction.
He was in the very back with 20+ other horses, he was terrified
and was getting skinny(he had been there 4+weeks), so we brought him home.
He's probably around 6-10 months of age, if that.
He has a condition called Contracted Tendons and, even though it can be helped at birth, his former owners
obviously did not care that much.
I have bought him a special mineral (Dicalcium Phosphate) that you add to his daily feed
which is proven to help this condition by loosening his tendons, allowing them to properly extend.
He will be a sound pasture pal at best. No riding in his future.(except maybe a lead pony for small children)
He needs a caring owner who will take time with him and allow his legs to get better.
This is not something that will happen over night, but it should get better with time and this special feed.
You will get:
His halter
50lb bag of feed
50lbs bag of Dicalcium phosphate
1 bale of hay
The feed already has the correct amount of the Dicalcium Phosphate added to it.
(1/4+lbs per 50lb bag of feed)
This bag should last you a long time.
The $50 fee is to ensure that he goes to a knowledgeable horse owner and not to be a pet in someone's back yard.
I care about this colt, and will not let him go to just anyone.
He is VERY sweet and trusting. He will definitely tug on your heart strings. Just give him a chance.
Also, he has been given antibiotics for a cold he has in his eyes.
No other shots have been given.
This colt needs to find a loving home, or someone who can afford/is willing to have him humanely put down.
He is being well taken care of here, but I sadly have no extra space for a pasture buddy.
