So I got a Crock Pot slow cooker thingamajig for Christmas and have my first thing to cook! (WOOT WOOT!)
So I bought a: Cut from Canadian Beef Standing Rib Roast Cap Removed.
A. Can someone PLEASE tell me what type of cut that is, ie is it a good cut, normally used for...? It looks really well marbled with fat, it is 1.180kg (2.6 lbs wtf it feels heavier...)
B. How long should I put it in the slow cooker for? On low.. I like my meats medium-rare, closer to the rare side. I know how long at 300F (20mins/lb??)
C. Can I cook potatoes, onions, wine, mushrooms with it?
D. How does one make horseradish sauce PROPERLY? (so it's blazingly hot)
E. Any awesome suggestions? I already am thinking red wine and lots of garlic.
OH OH, edit: Do I marinate it?
