Sometimes, I get an insane urge to want to know how much my gelding would be in this market, and have been so so tempted to put him on a few sites to see if
I'd get bites.. but that's just stupid LOL And after reading a few topics about the horse market and current horse prices, I was curious. Grade green
broke/unbroke conformational trainwrecks for sale for $10K, while bombproof packers can barely get $1500.
Just curious!
Gelding is a 4 year old, 16 hand Norwegian Fjord x Thoroughbred. He's dun with that famous Fjord mane. Very level-headed and laidback, often falls asleep
in the crossties. Can bath, trailer, clip and tie like a dream. Very careful when children are around. Is broke both english and western. Has solid w/t/c,
working on framing/bending. Has done some light gaming, and has done up to a 2' course cleanly. Nearly bombproof, especially on trails - is definately that
pokey kind of horse on trails. Has done amateur cowsorting and has actually won quite a bit of money, has decent cowsense and made a few attempts at roping as
well. Very solid and a great mover. Loves to jump and will pick his legs up nicely over fences. Sound and sane, very healthy and hardy. Has been in a parade
and other scary situations, and was always calm. Not the boss of the field, but not the low man either. Can be pastured with donkeys, horses and/or ponies
without a problem. He's enough work for an intermediate/advanced to work with, but is very careful when beginners/newbies are on him. [has been used once
as a leadline horse for disabled children - when old barn was short a horse]
Has been to 4 shows and pinned at his most recent - a 3rd, 4th and two 5ths in the Hack division as well.

This is just for fun
I can't, however, see him doing something like western pleasure.
But I can see him as a good gamer, dressage mount, jumper mount, possible hunter mount or an eventing mount.
But he enjoys trail riding/hacks just as much.
=D
