These horses came in tonight. Horses go off at 2:00 pm, maybe sooner b/c of weather:- 12 year old dead broke ranch horse (he thinks mare, but will verify in the morning).- 7 year old paint gelding. Broke well for trails and ring. Folks who purchased do not know how to ride and bought cheap. Also, I diverted a 12-13 h dead broke pony from the sale. BTW, the auction worker is telling me all about how he's changed his mind about 'canners'.... :-)

Some of these people should haul in to Missoula to sell, although I realize many probably haul in to there because of the convenience. Prices haven't been that bad over here (I was pleasantly surprised at the prices horses were selling for).

GREAT news! Sorrel was no-saled when seller realized there were only canner buyers. Big paint sold for $990 to the 4H kid. Not sure who was bidding against him??? We got the ponies for $82. :-)Just talked to the owner of the ponies (wife actually)... their names are Kim & Casey. :-)BTW, $12 of the $82 was for the brand inspection.... so they were $35 each. I guess a little life is only worth a dinner and a bottle of wine. Now, we have actual time to plan for next month!!!
