We brought the horses to town 3 weeks ago. Between the weather and waiting for Chunk to get shod, we've ridden a whole twice! We've had thunder, lightning, heavy downpours with flooding of pens and arenas, funnel clouds, and non-stop WIND! Today's wind is supposed to get up to 65 mph gusts and the nighttime temp will be 35. Oh, and even if you've had 2" of rain in a week, two weeks of severe wind can dry it back out so you have lovely dust storms that bring road closures and car crashes. Then it will rain just a bit on your dusty car to top it off. It's still snowing in the mountains.
I know, I know, it's not the flooding like in Tennesee or (God forbid!) oil spills like on the Gulf Coast, but still. It's frustrating!
