I think quite the opposite, to be honest. And sharing opinions is one of the main parts of discussion. You make a statement, I absorb it if it's a cold hard fact. If it's a subjective statement, I agree or disagree with it. We discuss. That's what a discussion is, HW. It happens in classrooms, too, if you're not aware. It's called debate and open discussion. Sharing information, learning, debating - they all go hand in hand. It's all communication. And don't act like you're so disgusted by all the debating that goes on here. You revel in it and you know it.

I don't want it to be about me or my horse, but some of you always make it about me or my horse. You have nothing else but the attack dog mentality and the bandwagon. If this were such a good place, all rainbows and butterflies, and you were all the perfect angels you make yourselves out to be, then many of the very knowledgeable, logical, extremely educated and literate, friendly, generous people who used to be here, would still be here. Unfortunately, many are not. I wonder why they left? It is partly due to you believing you have every right to YOUR opinions and snark, any time, any place, directed at anyone you choose, yet others do not have the right to their opinions without being chastised for them. I hope you find those knowledgeable, logical, extremely educated and literate, generous, friendly people. You will never find them here because you are already clearly convinced they do not exist here. I find those people here amidst the cranks that are bound to show up anywhere on the internet. I have seen incredible acts of kindness and generosity and people putting in a great deal of time and effort to help educate others. I have met a few people from here and am glad that I did. Good luck in your quest for better people. I assume since you are here you haven't found them yet.

The people FTFOTB is looking for though are in some cases here and she will never see it because she believes they don't exist. I wish her luck on her quest for better people. Do you know where they are hiding Roses?

No matter how many times you and other people whine that this board isn't "what it's supposed to be," it won't change. People won't stop posting what they want to post, whether that is snarky posts to start drama or smart posts pointing out things that they see are wrong. You can't control what other people do, and frankly it is really annoying to hear the constant whining that the board isn't really a "free speech board" and "4H should change the name to this title-that-really-isn't-that-witty-but-that-describes-this-week's-reasons-for-why-the-board-is-going-to-hell." Seriously, has any of it done any good? Have any of these posts made the condition of the board change, or made the "mean" posters change what they post? ETA: Also, the constant whining about how the board isn't "nice" is not going to change anything either. Again, when has any of this changed how teh "mean" people post? Give me one example.

I ask because I have a herniated disc in my lower back (not as bad as a break obviously) that I can't get under control. I've done steroid injections, PT etc and I'm still in daily pain. I'm looking at potential back surgery. Anyway, just wondering what kind of prognosis I'm looking at. I'll freak out if I'm not able to ride! You can PM me if you want. Thanks.

Males are constant. The desire to ejaculate into a warm moist orifice anytime, anywhere, precludes everything, most notably common sense.
