I'm guessing yes if taken to the dealership as they are all pricey. But we have a handy man/mechanic around the corner who fixes our farm trucks/tractors/anything and he works for an auto wrecker re-building cars so I am guessing he could do it. I imagine, in order of expense (most expensive to least expensive) BMW Mercedes Lincoln Cadillac Why not buy a nice fully loaded Mazda 6/Honda Accord/Chevy Malibu/Ford Fusion instead??? Way cheaper to maintain and relatively inexpensive used. AE? Color? ETA- Also, the mechanic you use may not have access to the right TOOLS nevermind parts. When we had one, it required constant (Expensive!) upkeep--but it was what we wanted at the time, so we paid for it. That was back in 2000-2007 that we had it. Our BMW was much less expensive than the mercedes, but the cadillac was the easiest to get serviced, required the least amount of work, and the least expensive. We had the BMW from 1998-2004 and the Cadillac was 2002-2009. I imagine years of production have something to do with it, and make. Our cadillac and the mercedes were not flashy little cars-the BMW was a convertible and was driven much less frequently. The other two were used every day. We have had 4 of them loved them all, two '86 Devilles, '91 Seville and an 05 Deville. The '86 and '91 cost a fortune to fix when the spark plug wiring need to be replaced, $1100 for the wiring only. The 05 never had any problems and I put 10,000 miles on it in 4 months, lol. I would love to have another '05 but I love my Expedition too much to trade in.

Often times, they can't be taken to normal body shops and you have to take them to (a) the dealership, or (b) a pricey shop that repairs imports only. I have a Saab and it's the same deal. Gah.

This place works on Mercedes, exclusively, but doesn't sell them. It's much more reasonable. But, the vehicle is worth it, it's like 4 years old now, and has served us well. My hubby drives 300 miles per week, commute, no problems. we would buy another one..
