Listed my QH for sale on craigslist just to get a feel of what the market was like.
Had a woman email me asking me if I would consider a lease and moving the horse to a different barn.. I respond saying yes I might consider a lease to buy, or in the perfect situation a lease, but that I am really looking to sell her), but that my biggest concern is the horse finding the best possible home, a good rider match, and good care. I email her asking exactly what she is looking for.
She responds saying, "it would be easiest if the horse is at X location for me. Because my husband is leaving and I want something to keep me busy.
I respond saying "Can you tell me what you are looking for? Again, my biggest concern is my horse and I am really looking for the best home possible"
She responds "I ride english. I could tell you about my riding history, but our conceptions of riding style might be different, I could send you pictures. Would you be able to move the horse to X location. I have my own horse"
At this point, I am just meh. My goal is not to lease the horse. I clearly say that in the ad, I am looking to sell her. I'm not sure why she is telling me she already has a horse. . .
So I respond "I'm confused, are you looking to buy a horse? a second horse? As I would prefer to sell my horse, it doesn't sound like this is the ideal situation. Good luck on the horse hunt".
She responds "Why are you so judgemental?"
I don't respond. She emails me again "I want to lease something, I don't understand why you are judging me"
I just respond and say "Thank you for your interest. I just don't think this is quite the right situation for me. Thank you again".
She has responded back twice calling me judgemental.
Wtf.
I thought I was being polite.
