Fenris wears his on his harness when he's outside, but never inside. He doesn't bolt out the door, and he would never run away anyhow, and his recal is awsome, so we don't worry about it inside. Lily wears a collar all the time, with her tags. She doesn't bolt the door either, but her recall is crap when there is another animal around, so we make her wear hers all the time, just to be safe. Plus, all shelters in my area scan for microchips, and both are microchipped to the Tompkins County SPCA, who can link them with us. I still worry though...

If I take her on a walk, she has that one on. (Now in addition to a gentle leader.) If someone goes to the gas station and feels like taking her along just so she can go for a ride, she has that one on. If she's going to be getting out of the car at all or she's going more than six blocks away, she has a second collar that she wears as well that has her rabies/vet tag and city tag. She doesn't wear two collars at once for very long or very often. She doesn't wear any collar at night inside or sometimes when I just feel like taking her collar off but she shoves her nose into it in the morning. She gets excited when her collar gets taken off and when it gets put back on. ETA: The reason all her tags aren't just on one collar is because it's too noisy and it bothers my mom.
