WOW!
The BO has let Ajax stay out in the pasture together with a STB yearling (stallion) instead of bringing him in at night, because they didnt have enough stalls (They finished the last ones tonight, pretty new black wooden stalls).
So of course he hasnt been caught or anything. I didnt think I could catch him, because he has barely been handled ever, but I went out there, and yes, he went away. No closer then 10 feet, please. When he stopped I stopped, offered him a carrot, hm mostly he just turned around. He tried to pass me (narrow pasture) but I was faster. He was very quiet and responsive, very very much. I finally cornered him, and showed him the carrot again, and he actually showed interest in it. Yumm. We established some contact, and the carrot was sooo gooooood.. So I got him! It took me a long long time to bring him back since he is timid, but sensible, and did get better with the leading all the time. I got ballsy and brought him into the barn. He was very quiet. Lead him around and took it very quiet with him. I ended up tying him up in the crossties .

Being cuddled by a guy in the barn. We all agree that he is about 14.3 hands right now, and should easily reach 16 hands. He is far less pigeon toed than I feared - one foot is straight as an arrow, and the other one is a little warped. WHEW!
There was a worried stallion in the barn, and a 3yo kid who, despite me telling her how dangerous it is, kept on walking close to him and feeding him carrots. He didnt care, only when the BO's SO started to drill, he was a little worried but behaved so well.

Forelock. Yes, his feet are hideous, but I am working on him giving his feet (He is good), and they will be done soon. His forelock was yucky, never touched.

One of three or four same size or bigger dreadlocks I had to give up on!

Ajax or Awwwww-jax? Forelock!

We went a long way in being allowed to touch his head today. Carrots, slow movements, and repetition repetition repetition.

Look at that mane! I pulled so many hairs out of his mane. Its almost golden.
I still dont like his ass and fear he will end up long as a bus, but I dont regret taking him. Sorry for the lackluster pictures this time, it was already late.
ETA:

This is why I was worried about his front legs. But he is the total opposite of Cargo, he not only has lots of room between his legs, but he also swings them outwards.. lol.. One guy that wont ever need leg protection!
