I'm in college right now, and graduating in December. I do not yet have a job lined up for post-graduation. I've been applying to everything I can find that I'm even remotely qualified for. I've applied to a lot of jobs at my college, because I love my school and would love to stay here even after I'm done being a student (lame, I know
).
Anyways, I've been invited to take a civil service test for a job in the Office of Parking/Transportation at my school. The job isn't in my field of study, and doesn't even actually require a 4 year degree, but it's full time, pays decent, has benefits, and works outside (I love working outside)! If I pass the test, I'll be one of the eligible candidates for the job. Being invited for the test is FAR from bagging the job, but this is the first response I've gotten so far from any of my applications showing interest in hiring me. So I am encouraged! Woo!
I just had to share with someone, and I'm at work right now so I can't call anyone and go "OMGOMGOMG!".
