Do you know how strict the law regarding banks and banking policy and lending policy are? Especially after the last five years? Do you know much about banking law? Yes, a lot of big NATIONAL banks have fucked up, especially the GOVT BACKED ones, like Freddie Mac or Fannie May--but the small, well-managed banks, like the one my husband works for, are doing amazingly well, thanks to presidents and staff who THINK things through and don't lend to dipshits that want a $300,000 house but only make $50,000/yr. Do your fucking homework before you come up with or support an idea that would tear thousands of good, conservative banks apart.

Blech! Even if he gets the proper treatment now he may never recover from this.

Years ago there was a Marty Robbins gun fighter ballad called " Big Iron on His Hip". Have you ever thought to yourself "there should be a law about that?" What are some things you'd put in a bill to your state legislature about?I'm not sure how it works out, but my most brilliant idea so far is requiring community service for those who accept unemployment/TANF benefits/foodstamps. Hopefully to help mitigate the cost of paying for certain state functions. Instead of paying people to pick up trash, why not have those who are able bodied and unemployed pick up trash until they find a job? My mom thinks any parent with a child enrolled in a public school should have to volunteer 8hrs of their time per year to school functions.I'm blanking out on the rest. I'm like, THE worst brainstormer ever so any help would be awesome... plus this could make for some interesting conversation This over and over. I've had this idea a lot, and if I can have it, I'm astounded why any high-level govt. employee can't have it ('cause obviously they haven't!). I think this would end most "welfare moms" types who want just push out babies and reap the benefits; I also think it would help morale as far as having a job, any job. If you have six kids and can't afford a babysitter to go to work, why don't you watch other kids so those moms can work? If you can't watch kids (I couldn't, in this scenario), then the rate is 50 cents or a buck an hour, so you can go do some other job, like the ones no one else wants to do--picking fruit, or washing porta-potties, or being candy stripers?)

If we're already paying someone to pick up trash or whatever other job you're envisioning, what becomes of them if we get rid of their job in favor of having people on welfare do it? It strikes me that we'd just be trading one unemployed person for another, but maybe I'm missing something.
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference

Birth Control + HBP is a good combo if you're looking to have a stroke. Well technically if we're going to take away rights (teehee) then you can pretty much put an IUD in anyone. They don't work like hormones so even people with hx of blood clots, high blood pressure etc can have one.
