Quote:How about telling me if I'm correct or not on their type and breeding? I know conformation well enough not to play those games. There's another thread for conformation critiques...

Quote:What does type have to do with whether or not a horse has correct conformation? There is only one breed standard (the Mixer horse) for all the disciplines so type shouldn't be an issue.

Quote:LOL! You can bet I am correct or GotCow would have jumped at the opportunity to tell me how wrong I was.

Quote:The first horse looks to be very correct, nice headed, shorter in the neck than ideal, nice short back, strong loin, correct legs, good bone, good hip, perfect angle to the hock although they could be lower; very compact, yet speedy looking. Looks very much like a Three Bars horse, very much a QH type in spite of likely heavy TB breeding. The second horse looks to be a cowhorse type, smaller, lighter built, compact, very balanced, shorter neck, good shoulder, good head, medium length back, adequate depth of heartgirth, more angle to the hock, appearing to be "squatty" behind. Looks like many Peptoboonsmal horses I've seen, and I'm not talking about any particular color. The third horse looks like a more modern Quarter running type, high behind although balanced, shorter neck, longer backed, really good bone, lots of depth to the heartgirth, low hocks at a good angle; short cannon bones up front; decent enough head; good hip. Looks very much like a Dash For Cash-bred horse.
