The horse was fully shaved and blanketed, so a soft brush to the saddle area was going to be my entire groom, but found an icky spot in the girth area that I had to curry to get clean and then soft brush again. Never ever have I given my horse an IV shot - don't know how. I can and do give IM shots, but never IV. ~Shelly~

I own my first mare now, and also have pretty much "adopted" a jennet. She's not officially mine, but I do pretty much everything for her.
Never have I ever put a horse in a straight/tie stall.

When I was a kid, the barn I rode at kept their school horses in straight/tie stalls. I HATED them with a passion. And I mean HATED them. There is just no way to get a horse out of a tie stall except to walk right up to their ass end and directly in - especially when it is the middle horse of 10 in a row of straight stalls. And believe me, school horses do not always have the best reputations for sweetness and loving. Your chances of getting kicked just go through the roof, and the living conditions for the horse . . . *sigh*Never have I ever ridden in or owned a treeless saddle.~Shelly~
