UPDATE!
I saw that the chestnut sold a couple of weeks ago, and I kind of lost interest in the bay (I was distracted by cute Welsh colts!) but now that I see her price has been dropped dramatically I'm driving down to look at her next weekend. Hey, I can't pass up a bargain. So, I'm asking again, now that I'm pretty serious about purchasing her: does she look like a good hunter prospect/eventual broodmare prospect to you folks?
I'm looking at these two TB fillies, both are yearlings, comparable prices. Which do you folks think would make a better hunter prospect and why? My friend thinks the chestnut looks more like a jumper prospect, but can't explain why--agree, disagree? Also, a description of general faults would be awesome.
Both are JC registered but not racing bred, and they're both expected to reach 17hh.
(This one has already sold, so I'm no longer looking for a critique on her.)
(This is the one I'm looking at now.)
