Hi all! I have a horse for sale that has been on the market since around December. In March I leased her out so the selling was put on hold. Now, since the
lease is ending, I am renewing my ads.
Anyways, for those of you with selling/marketing experience, I have a couple of questions. I would like around $6,000 for this horse. Is it better in the ad to put $6,000 firm, just $6,000, or maybe $6,500-7,000 negotiable? Personally, when I was horse shopping, I liked to see the word "negotiable." I would really like the $6K (she is worth it) but for a good home I would negotiate a little.
Also, as the main picture (one you see in the search listings), would you rather see a conformation shot or an action shot?
Finally, what other sites are there besides Equine.com and Dreamhorse.com? She is not listed on dreamhorse right now, but I did get the best package on equine.com so her ad is sometimes featured on the front page.
The market is so terrible right now but I am trying my best to hopefully get a sale by the fall. Thanks!
