I was at a local Amish farm today trailering a horse for the owner, when he showed me a 4 year old Percheron/x (forgot what draft breed x) he has that has
stringhalt. I'm not really familiar with this condition - I did see the horse walk forward (looked fine) but when he backed, he stepped up and down -
obviously an issue backing but he didn't fuss about it.
This is a 4 year old who was bought at 2 and trained by this person, broke to drive and stands at 17.3hh (sticked him today).........would the stringhalt be a total deal breaker with a horse like this?
He is for sale - not for a ton of money - and is actually kind of cute looking! Doesn't have the big boxy head but a slightly refined head.......
I am not loking to buy (have 3 already!)........anyone interested in getting more info?
