Hence why most dictionaries started including slang terms (which is absurd). What part of my comments did you not get, NHM? Apparently, for some, using incorrect terms (and defending the use thereof) is perfectly acceptable. *shrugs* Whatever. Be my guest, call it whatever you want! All I stated was, it's a pet peeve of mine to call things by an incorrect name (for example, "lunge" to longe a horse, and if I also recall, THAT term appears now in some dictionaries, even though it's totally wrong, because some people started using it).

I had thought about typing 'just out of curiosity' before the start of the question, but I thought it was unnecessary. Asking questions is usually out of curiosity or a quest for knowledge for me.I had just read multiple threads that made it seem like you were older to me. I thought I had remembered reading that we were around the same age. End of story. I graduated a really long time ago, too. 23 ish years. Sucks to get older.

Interesting fact.
I was watching the DVDs Redmare got me for Xmas (awesome!!) Miniature Horse clinic from 2010. Got to the section on hooves. EVERYONE from the farrier and yes even the audience called it the Coronary band and the only time coronet band or coronet was mentioned was when the editor of the video provided CC when the volume of the person talking was hard to hear. Even though it was quite clear they said coronary, they typed coronet. I would not have noticed except for this thread.

^ please send a note to all those horse shoeing books and farriers that use the incorrect terminology, the terms are interchangable
