We got to pick up our Siberian kittens last weekend. They are sooo much fun, but they are still so tiny! We had a hard time introducing them to collars because even the tiny kitten ones were too big for Sveta. She was able to get her paw under it and pop it right off because the breakaway clasps take so little pressure. What we found was a great solution called Beastie Bands. They are made of super stretchy neoprene that Velcros on with a small inset ring for the tags. The best part is they come with tons of designs and the designs are glow in the dark.

The week before we picked them up their breeder posted a new litter of kittens. Much to our delight there was a beautiful golden tabby male in the litter. When we went to pick up our girls we asked him about the male. He is not related to our girls, he's actually out of European imported stock. The breeder wanted to promote this male as a breeding stud because of his coloring and conformation. So we decided to take the plunge and put down a deposit on him. He'll be ready to come home at the end of July. We have named him Zolotoe Zatmenie (golden eclipse) aka ZZ. Our breeder is ecstatic with our choices and thinks that we have a great foundation stock for our own cattery now. So in about a year or two we'll be breeding our own! In the meantime we're planning on showing our babies. Without further ado...PICTURES!
