I need some thinking noodles.
New horse arrived at our boarding stable. Very skinny, very very. He is an ex-racehorse. The new owner says he has this "disease", that our BO couldn't remember the name of, she said it started with a "C". I said Cushings? She said no, wasn't that. She said it wasn't contagious??
Anyway, the reason he has this disease is b/c he was injected with so much during his racing years, that he now can't process the food he is given, and therefore its why he is this skinny.
I don't know if I buy it, I'm talking this horse looks like some of those horses you see on Rescue networks - bad thin, bones sticking out. She has had him for several years. I think its more of a sitaution of the horse is not being cared for.
I'm worried about my horses catching this "C" disease?
