When I was a child, there was a TB broodmare at the farm in Ocala we visited a couple times a year until I was 13 or so (when the owner died). For YEARS, she
was my favorite, the one I'd sit on the fence and pet & scratch & feed sugar cubes to.
I went back, 10 years later, when I was in my 20's - it turns out the manager was the same person as in my youth, so he allowed me to wander around for a few hours - the main house, the barns, etc. But the mare was still there, with a foal at her side.
She was a '76 model, so I'm fairly sure she's dead now, but I think it would be so interesting to find out if anyone knows any of her progeny - maybe one of you HAS one of her offspring.
I'm just kind of curious.
Are there any free progeny research sites for TBs?
