Tips, tricks and suggestions? I have an interview friday for the summer dream job. It would be running a 6 person crew on planting and restoration projects. (Which is what I did for the past two years as a crew member) . What do you like to see brought for you by the person being interviewed?
A friend who was in the Air Force and did contract hiring for them gave me these tips.
A resume packet for everyone who is interviewing you including the cover letter and letters of recommendation on heavier weight paper and in a little plastic folder. I also want to send pictures along of sites I have worked on, things that pertain directly to the work we would be doing.
Clothes! What should I wear? I have worked with everyone who is interviewing me so I was thinking nice slacks, black shoes and a white button up shirt. Even though they are used to seeing me in 3 weeks to be washed carhartts, a blue t-shirt and a hardhat. Or could wear the WCC dress up shirt that we were given at the start of the year, mine is crisp and not stained.
Any small thing that can give me an edge?
