Pdj? You planning on having steak tartare?
Seriously, though. Your guys are cute. Good luck with them. I hope you sell them for lots and lots.

It's old asphalt they ground off the highway to smooth & reserfece it..it's just like a pile of rock now but when ya spread & pack it in the sun it hardens the road.....Great stuff for $60 a load.....

Do you think about colour when you pick the ones you're going to buy and train, or is that just what's available near you? You've always got nice duns and stuff. Love the colour of that first horse...
Yes, I do buy color. There is just no way around it,I'd have trouble giving away the nicest sorrels & bays on the planet.Might not be right but that's the way it is. But hell ,I'm as bad as anybody else.I picked mine out of a bunch of colts I had because of his color & I thought he'd be one of the shorter ones...No other real reason...

Especially considering you buy most of your horses for resale... everyone loves to have a "unique" horse. And if you're picking out of a bunch of colts that you had... I'm assuming that they were all pretty decent horses, so you didn't have much to lose lol.
I pretty much buy my weanlings from bloodlines that I know have brains & disposition & luckily most of them that I like throw a fair amount of color so it's not real hard to find the kind that I like.Disposition is a must as at least 80% of my colts go to gal trail riders that just want to ride, have fun & not put up with a bunch of crap every time they ride um....
