Ya like um?
Ethel, the 4 yr old TE Jack mare, has a wonderful disposition, and a quick learner.
Kit, my Poco filly (nearly 3), is also a very fast learner. I've started her under saddle, and she picks up on things very quickly.
But yes, I love TE Jack horses. And poco horses.

One of these days I'm gonna get around to stake-training my Morgan. He already ground-ties, so I'm pretty sure we'll be able to figure it out, and it seems like a seriously useful thing to be able to do. Start with about a 30ft rope so they can't get a big run at something...My rope is covered with a very stiff rubber hose that can't wrap around their legs. They aren't staked solid,I want something with some give but nothing they can run away with (this is the part thats kinda tricky & ya kinda need to know what your doing)...I do mine when they are around 8 months old & use 1 heavy RR tie.....Older horses 2 & sometimes 3...Just a great thing for getting them used to things around their legs & ya don't have to mow.....

Mine has surgical tubbing on it. Its not as heavy as a rubber hose. I use mine on a leg/patsturn hobble, not on their halter, as having it low to the ground makes easier on the horse to navigate and not get hung up as easily.

Can you tell three of the horses in my signature line are of the same lines? I feel the same way about the Poco and the Doc Bar lines.

Yup . He's 19 years old now, my only complaint is that he's kind of a hard keeper. He was shown in working cow horse when he was younger and qualified for the NRCHA worlds a few times, then he was turned into a penning horse and won some money doing that and now he's my gamer, and we still do a little penning.

Well, since there are 3 two of them have to be the mare and foal on the right... since they have the same lines. So, it wouldn't be the first two.. would it?
