Yeah.. I was looking around at their videos and saw that one. Suuuper cute horse, but the riding just distracted me. It's like, your horse isn't exactly going the speed of light, don't ride it like it is. I'm a big fan of this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TU9-H2n9vFs&feature=related.

He did have a really nice fast lope in the slide run downs and that's what they need to develop. What's with the sliding and no skid boots? They trying to burn off his pasterns? Not worth $35k IMO.
Oh, I LOVEEE reiners who lope with their nose to the ground. It's one of the things I liked about this horse. I think it's the ugliest thing win horses go around with thier head up and nose stuck out. I'm with you QHSlidin, I want one I need to push, not one I need to hold back-- I already have one of those and it's a PITA.

Some people just do that. I've seen some people lean so far forward and stick their arm so far out that they could touch their horses ears if they wanted to. It's one thing if you're doing it and your horse is actually going fast, another if your horse is just loping around :P.

They do this to show that it takes little effort and cueing to get the horse to respond to the light cues. This girl rides a little to far forward, so it looks worse than most. Most good reiners have their hand on the horses neck and it never moves. Reining is a lot like dressage athletically, and for the cues, its just done with a completely loose rein.
