I think Lily has had had a little light bulb turn on in her head. After last weekends mammoth effort to get her caught, she has been on lock down for a week in her little grass yard with very minimal grass. I think the afternoon turn outs in the lush big paddock may have messed with her brain (sugar/grass sensitivity) as after this week on the much shorter grass heavily restricted., she is a totally different girl. Much more calm, friendly and better behaved. Not perfect to catch (still a little wary about ropes in hand) but allows herself to be none the less. Stood nicely and turned into putty during her massage with rubber curry comb and let the girls braid her mane and practise leading and some little poles . I think for our relationship with her, she will have to be kept out of the lush grass (not even allowed a couple of hours) on lockdown. Its amazing how she went so far backwards, then a big leap ahead... perhaps she had to get worse before she got better?Other news is her new friend arrived (this was after lily started being a good pony again) . Lily is very happy, they are still working out who is boss (little fairy-sounding squeals and lining eachother up with ther butts). Little black mare came with the name Abby but has been changed to Minty by my daughter BFF who I have gifted her to so that she can join in with some lower level mini showing and the general fun. Little minty came from a breeder. She lost her foal during foaling about 7-8 weeks ago. Noticed her dripping milk yesterday, but no bag. Kind of thought that was weird (and sad). Lily says "thanks food lady, this present isnt bad at all"
