My aunts new horse has started chewing on the fence and his stall. She's had him for about a week now, before that he had lived on the same farm for his entire 11 years. Is it possible he's just having some nerves?
BO is concerned it will lead to cribbing and wants him in a cribbing collar. Does chewing lead to cribbing? I didn't think it did but I don't really know.
Does anyone have recommendations for stopping the behavior? Cribbing or no, he's being destructive. Do you figure it may be something that remedies itself once he's out if quarantine and out getting some exercise in a pasture?
The handsome horse in question.
Sorry for iPhone wot.
