Decided it was high time I put up a confo critique of Gatsby. I bought him in June. He'll be 3 in May and I'm going to start riding him in August. Hoping to do low level dressage with him, a little jumping, hacking, etc. I just wanted an all rounder and a good buddy, but my focus is definitely dressage and I compete for fun in that discipline. So, what do you think? Is he suited to the task? I know he toes out and seems to have a short neck and small eye. That's about all I know. I'm definitely barn blind, so feel free to pick him apart-especially hind quarters and back legs, as I feel I know the least about that in terms of what to look for. I would set him up and take proper photos to critique, but at this point his feathers are growing out so you can't see his pasterns very well and he's covered in about an inch of winter hair. I'll do it properly in the summer when his legs are clipped and you can pick him apart again
For now, what do you see? I'll just post a bunch of pics since I don't have perfect ones. In some of the pics he's closer to 2.
