ETA: I started to listen to NPR/talk radio shows pretty much full-time a few weeks ago, because I was having trouble staying awake in the car with the regular music on. It's been a lot of fun, really interesting and educational, and I'm feeling- if not smarter- at least more informed about and interested in the world at large, especially how other people see the American situation politically and economically. It's spurred some really great conversations with my kids, co-workers and friends. I thought I'd share some of the more interesting stuff with FiSHies.

All sorts of fun stuff on yesterday's programs- including a piece on Buzkashi, which they say is like polo, but with a headless goat. Honestly, apart from the headless goat part, it kind of looked like fun.
There was also a bit about how they injected old mice with the blood of young mice- the result was more energy, better cognitive abilities and increased energy. Guess Dracula had the right idea, huh?
They had a really cool piece on the William Neff bubble houses. I thought it was cool, mainly because my dad had a modern bubble house (dome house) built a few years ago and he loves it- it's incredibly efficient, surprisingly spacious, and was remarkably affordable. I think if I ever came in to beaucoup bucks I'd do a giant dome as a barn/arena combo- stalls along the outer walls and the arena in the center.
