I've tended to go bootless after hearing the forum's reasonable arguments against them. But now that I'm doing more jumping and getting ready to school some x-country I'm thinking I should get some. Would you do all four? Just fronts? Woof boots seem to be the favorites still. Can you use open fronts for jumpers and x-country? Obviously no fluffy stuff for cross country and I've seen how nasty and waterlogged SMBs when people trail ride in them.
Ivan is shod in front and doesn't interfere at all. I'm just jumping 2'6" so there's no Rolex in my future. I've got some ratty neoprene splint boots and am using polos at home but want something nicer when we go off property. Obviously my trainer gets the final call but input is always good.
